Bosque County Blast for February 11, 2021

Listen in for a can’t-miss episode full of local news from Clifton, Meridian, Valley Mills and beyond. For our feature stories today, we take a look at  the Rattlesnake Roundup going on in Walnut Springs, and how the WSYBA continues to serve students in FFA and Ag with scholarships, live music, a carnival and of course, more live rattlesnakes than you can count. Listen in to see why we’re wound up for the round up.  We talk to local couple Phyllis and Ed Rieser of the Corner Drug Cafe about their love story, how they met, and how they kept coming back to each other, even driving for through the wee hours of morning to see each other. Last, we visit Uncle Gus’ Marina and Resort to talk to Texas Parks & Wildlife Department Officials, kids with Bosque and Hill 4-H, and the Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Service  for fish habitats on Lake Whitney. For local news and Valentine’s specials with River Street Roost,  a new-fish stocking event for your tank with Clifton Feed and Service, downtown Valley Mills businesses, and big movie plans for Valentine’s Day this weekend, we’ve got your weekend events covered.
