New York City, NY – A tragic incident unfolded recently involving a 65-year-old woman, identified as Kathleen, who took her own life after fatally shooting her son’s ex-wife, Marrisa.
Marrisa, 45, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the source, the shooting stemmed from a custody dispute over a 4-year-old child that Kathleen’s son shared with Marrisa.
Surveillance footage revealed that Marrisa was placing her 1-year-old baby in her vehicle when Kathleen approached her and shot her in the head.
Further investigation showed that Kathleen, who was suffering from a terminal illness, shot Marrisa twice—once in the head and once in the back—before turning the gun on herself.

Police officials noted that there had been at least five prior disturbance reports related to this family.
A law enforcement source told the Post, “She took away the child’s mother to make her son happy; it’s shocking.”
In response to this tragic event, Marrisa’s family has started a fundraiser to cover funeral costs.
