Harris County Sheriff’s Office Searching for Escaped Detainee

The public is being asked to assist the Harris County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) in finding 22-year-old Daniel Eugene Douglas, who escaped from custody on Thursday. Douglas escaped from the parking garage of the HCSO Joint Processing Center while being held by officers from the Baytown Police Department.

Authorities claim that as soon as the car door was opened, Douglas ran away. He escaped on foot after he was able to get out through an open bay door. In the region, deputies are actively looking for Douglas.

The public is advised by HCSO not to approach Douglas if they see him. Anyone who knows where he is is asked to contact 911 right away.
