Humble Man Arrested for Aggravated Assault That Left Elderly Victim in Critical Condition

Following an incident that left 80-year-old Earl Hollins very ill, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez announced an arrest.

The incident happened in Humble, Texas, on Friday, December 7, 2024, in the 1400 block of W. FM1960. Investigators from the Deputies and Violent Crimes Unit identified the alleged suspect as Anthony Ray Boycea, 57.

Boyce, who had known Hollins before the event, was taken into custody and accused with aggravated assault resulting in serious bodily harm. Robbery is not thought to have been the motivation for the attack.

According to the most recent information, Hollins is still in critical condition at the hospital, while Boyce was booked into the Harris County Jail. The inquiry is still under progress.
