Mark your calendars now for the upcoming Bosque County Genealogical Society DNA workshop to be held on August 21 at the Clifton Civic Center. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. Patti will begin with a quick review about DNA and how to use your DNA results from your testing site company. Then she will present a program review of GEDmatch.com. After an overview of GEDmatch, we will practice using the GEDmatch tools “live examples” of members’s family research.

You must have your GEDmatch account set on or by August 9 in order to acess it during the workshop. GEDmatch accounts take 24-48 to process and complete. Participants will be given a free ticket upon arrival for a chance to win a FREE DNA kit! Patti will provide a 2-hour consultation of how to set up the free DNA account and how to interpret your DNA results once they arrive. Additional tickets will be available for purchase at the workshop.
