CLIFTON: A Touch Of Watercolor by Lloyd Voges Clifton, TX 18’’ x 24’’ Oil

The 36th Annual Bosque Art Classic kicks off Saturday, September 11, at 7 p.m. with a ticketed sale, dinner, and awards ceremony, followed by a 2-week exhibition and online sale.

The national art show at the Bosque Arts Center in Clifton is renowned for its exceptional work, which always includes a preponderance of western art, along with landscapes, portraits, still lifes, sculptures, and more. 

VALLEY MILLS: Journey’s End by Thomas Tankersley, TX 17’’ x 25’’ x 12’’ Metal Sculpture

This year’s Classic was juried and judged by Cowboy Artists of America member Tyler Crow, who selected 180-plus pieces of art to display. 

Over 100 artists are featured in the exhibition that opens free to the public on September 12.  After the opening weekend sale, the pieces will open to online sales beginning September 13.

Area artists returning to the show this year are Lloyd Voges of Clifton, Joel Edwards, Joseph Barbieri, and Daniel Anz of Waco.  Newcomer Thomas Tankersley of Valley Mills makes his debut in the show this year.  They are all joined by Cindy Long, Jean Olliver, Tatsiana Harbacheuskaya, Ezra Tucker, Reg Narmour, Homer Hensley, and Kim Mackey.
