Organizers, fishing enthusiasts, and dog lovers gathered on the shores of Lake Whitney at Lofers Bend Park Saturday, September 11, for the First Annual BARK Bashing Fishing Team Tournament. Volunteers and board members of Bosque Animal Rescue Kennels were present, in addition to many just enjoying the beautiful day on the lake.

Proceeds, donations, and entry fees benefitted the local kennel’s operations, with a good crowd arriving and mingling throughout the day. Even bigger, however, was some of the fish landed throughout the day. Meagan Cumnock of Stephanie Simmons Realty Group provided snacks and water for attendees.
