Foothills to host Community Thanksgiving Meal Thursday

Foothills Restaurant and Bar will host a community Thanksgiving meal Thursday, November 25th, from noon to 3 p.m. The meal is free for the public to attend and eat.

"I'm going to make two turkeys, swirled ham, and probably going to throw some chicken in there. I'm going to smoke the turkey and the ham, and I'll probably bake the chicken."

The sides will likely be green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy, and maybe a sweet potato or two.

Smoked turkey (and sometimes deep-frying the bird) is a Texas tradition.

Until the food runs out, you're more than welcome to come and eat it, from 12 o'clock to 3 o'clock. I don't all my people to work all day on Thanksgiving.

Ed Leonard will play Black Friday evening, with the public encouraged to come out and enjoy the restaurant and bar.
