Sign-ups for Healthy Kids Running Series open for Second Spring Season

"I'm looking forward to another successful series. In February, we'll start sharing some videos from personal trainer and holistic nutritionist Candace Barsh. She will have information for families on how to prepare for the series and will include nutritional information and some running tips, tricks, and how to prerpare.

The Healthy Kids Running Series is back in Clifton for youth countywide, and is currently registering runners. Runs take place on Sunday afternoons beginning at 3 p.m. for about a month. The dates for the spring season this year are March 27, April 3, 10, and 24, and May 1. Runners will not compete on Easter Sunday. Watch our drone video below for a bird’s eye view of how the series looks.

Children ages two through eighth grade (challenger for ages 2-18) are eligible. The series takes place each Sunday at Clifton City Park, located at 401 East 2nd Street.

"We will be sharing some pre-race activities for the kids to earn prizes if completed, as well."

Early registration costs $35 and is currently open. You can register and find the form by clicking here. The cost covers all five weeks, which includes a tee shirt and a medal. Runners’ goodie bags, positivity, and high-fives are free for participants.

We have a lot of plans and ideas, and I can't wait to share it with participants as we get it all finalized.
