Bosque County Blast for February 22, 2021

We’ve put together an episode featuring residents across Bosque County on how they battled the winter storm. For our feature stories today, you’ll hear from Iredell residents that worked hard to band together and overcome adversity during the arctic blast. We’ve got a special segment on a Carter Blood Care Drive in Clifton, and how giving blood can land you free tickets to the Cliftex Theater. We talked to Brett Voss of the Meridian Parks & Recreation Department about the upcoming Chili Cookoff planned this year, a segment to recurring with a growing roster of planned activities and events for the whole family. Get Wound Up for the Rattlesnake Roundup this March

The Rattle Snake Roundup has returned this year for weekend celebration March 5 through 7. The event benefits students involved with Walnut Springs Business for Youth in Agriculture, and funds collected will be used for scholarships. The WSBYA is a non-profit youth organization helping youth of Bosque County. Read on for more details on this scary-fun event beginning March 5.

For our feature stories today, we hear from Bosque County Sheriff Trace Hendricks on the weather conditions this week, what road crews are doing and some important advice battling the winter blast. Bosque County Blast for February 1, 2021

In this episode, we hear from Owner Tracey Byrd of Blossom Shoppe Etc about Valentine’s Day traditions in floral bouquets, and even gifts for the man cave. You’ll hear from the co-founder of Abigail’s Place, and what the organization continues to do for women in Bosque County. The group addresses challenges women face such as parenting, weight loss and even more serious issues like domestic violence.
