Bosque County Blast for February 22, 2021

We’ve put together an episode featuring residents across Bosque County on how they battled the winter storm. For our feature stories today, you’ll hear from Iredell residents that worked hard to band together and overcome adversity during the arctic blast. We’ve got a special segment on a Carter Blood Care Drive in Clifton, and how giving blood can land you free tickets to the Cliftex Theater. We talked to Brett Voss of the Meridian Parks & Recreation Department about the upcoming Chili Cookoff planned this year, a segment to recurring with a growing roster of planned activities and events for the whole family. We’ll hear everything you need to know about hunting and fishing licenses from Steve Conrad of Clifton Feed, in addition to our coverage of the big celebration Saturday at Uncle Gus Marina and Resort. We spoke to Steven and Lisa Payne of Hackberry Acres, a new RV park that seems more like a retreat. From food truck owners to participants in the boat parade across Lake Whitney, we’ve got it all.
