Uncle Gus Hosts Lee Greenwood, many musicians, and Trump for America Rally

Uncle Gus' Marina and Resort hosted a slew of entertainers last Saturday at a Trump for America Rally organized by Kries Vaughn of Company Kries. The event featured musicians, food and much more.

Uncle Gus’ Marina and Resort hosted a slew of entertainers last Saturday at a Trump for America Rally organized by Kries Vaughn of Company Kries. The event was emceed by Natalie Woods Stayner, producer for the County Music Television hit show “Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Making the Team” and Glenn Beck.

Stayner kept the crowd pumped between musical acts, Sid Miller, some awards, and a dance-off.

Musicians began playing at 2 p.m. and didn’t finish until 10 p.m.

The Teague Brothers

Lee Greenwood’s arrival followed The Teague Brothers’ performance, to which the crowd cheered on as he drove in.

Greenwood’s usual bus broke down, but the show must go on, so he arrived in another.

Sid Miller Speech

Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller arrived and addressed the crowd with some jokes and serious information about voting this year. He noted that you can’t vote with one check along party lines any more, now that voters are required to go down the list of candidates.

Truck Stop Gamblers

Following a short performance from the Truck Stop Gamblers, Lee Greenwood took the stage. He played hits from the 80’s and beyond, with the professionalism of his band backing the performer.

Greenwood played a stellar set, with the band not missing a beat. The evening conclude with Greenwood’s rendition of “God Bless America,” with the sky erupting in a fireworks show for the grand finale. The crowd cheered on after silence finally fell across Lake Whitney.
