Austin Police Seek Public Help in Identifying Vehicle Involved in Fatal Hit-and-Run on E. MLK Blvd.

The public is being asked to help Austin Police Department (APD) Vehicular Homicide Detectives identify a car that was involved in a deadly collision in the 4600 block of E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at around 9:32 p.m.

A white SUV and another unidentified car collided with a person who was crossing the street in the middle of the block. At the scene, the pedestrian was declared dead. The driver of the second car drove off without stopping or dialing 9-1-1, but the driver of the white SUV stayed on the site and is assisting with the investigation.

It’s possible that the car that ran away from the scene was a dark-colored 2022 Chevrolet Equinox.
