Portland public campaign finance deputy slams program head in searing resignation; director fires back

According to information obtained by The Oregonian/OregonLive, the deputy director of Portland’s program that gives public campaign funds to candidates for mayor and City Council quit unexpectedly last month, accusing his boss of intimidation and general poor management.

According to documents retrieved through a public records request, Daniel Lewkow said in a letter dated November 22 that Susan Mottet, the leader of Small Donor Elections, created a hostile workplace that made his employment intolerable.
