Julian Lennon has emergency surgery after cancer diagnosis

The son of late Beatles great John Lennon, Julian Lennon, disclosed a terrifying health condition on social media this week.

According to the 61-year-old, he was hurried into emergency surgery after receiving a skin cancer diagnosis. According to Lennon, he was on a press tour and had just wrapped up an appearance on Good Morning America when his oncologist called to inform him that she had discovered two spots on his skin, one of which was melanoma, and that they needed to be operated on right away!

He said on X, “So, after all my work in New York was done, I flew back to Los Angeles and went straight from LAX airport to surgery, instead of going home to put up my Christmas tree and happily finish the year off, relaxing at home.”

The procedure went well, but we haven’t received the biopsy findings yet, and they might not arrive before Christmas, he continued.

Lennon claimed that Dr. Tess, his oncologist, had previously saved his life by doing surgery to remove skin cancer, and that she would hopefully do so again.

Lennon remarked, “Obviously, good news would be the best Christmas present ever,” alluding to the biopsy. However, I would like to point out that this is also a timely reminder to everyone to see a doctor.

He went on to say that he hopes to live a long life.
