Kendrick Rayvon Fisher, 29, has been taken into custody by Houston police in relation to the stabbing death of a mother and a child at a Richmond Avenue residence. The 209th State District Court has filed a capital murder case against Fisher.
A civilian alerted officers to the presence of an adult female and a kid being kept captive inside an apartment at 12360 Richmond Avenue at around 3:10 a.m. on Friday, November 29. Concerned for their safety, the citizen reported that a male suspect—later identified as Fisher—was inside.
Officers discovered Fisher dozing off on the couch. The two victims, a 28-year-old lady and a 2-year-old kid, were found after a safety sweep of the flat. Both had sustained several stab wounds. Paramedics from the Houston Fire Department declared them deceased on the spot.
Officers observed blood on Fisher’s clothing and injuries consistent with a physical altercation when they detained him. After speaking with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, homicide investigators from the Houston Police Department questioned him and charged him with capital murder. The Harris County Jail has received Fisher’s booking.
The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences has yet to notify the victims’ relatives of their names.
