Oregon football left tackle Josh Conerly Jr. declines to say his plans for 2025

Eugene Josh Conerly Jr., a left lineman for Oregon, would not comment on whether he plans to enter the 2025 NFL draft or return for his final year.

Conerly has started all 13 games at left tackle and leads No. 1 Oregon in pass-blocking with an 82.0 grade from Pro Football Focus, giving up five total pressures on 467 opportunities. He was named an AP third team All-American. Conerly would not discuss his plans for the upcoming season four days before the Rose Bowl.

“That’s not my focus,” Conerly stated. All I’m thinking about is the game.

In lieu of the customary hard deadline of January 15, the NFL issued a soft deadline of January 6 for players whose seasons are finished to apply for special eligibility to enter this year’s draft. Players on the two teams participating in the College Football Playoff national title game on January 20 have been given a special championship deadline of January 24.

Earlier this month, Oregon recruited offensive tackle transfers Isaiah World and Alex Harkey from Texas State and Nevada, respectively, as they would be losing starting right tackle Ajani Cornelius at the end of the season.
