The Portland Trail Blazers have once again suffered injuries.
On Thursday night, the Blazers upset the Utah Jazz in the absence of Matisse Thybulle, Dalano Banton, and Robert Williams III.
According to Blazers assistant coach Nate Bjorkgren, forward Toumani Camara (ankle sprain) will be joining them on the bench on Saturday against the Dallas Mavericks.
During his pregame media appearance, Bjorkgren stated, “He stepped on a foot there in the Utah game.”
The fact that forward Deni Avdija is dubious due to lower back pain further complicates things. It would make sense for him to begin with Camara.
Before his availability is decided, Avdija will go through his typical pregame routine to see how his back feels, according to Bjorkgren.
Coach Chauncey Billups is attending his grandmother’s funeral, so Bjorkgren is covering for him.
