THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) — On Sunday evening, a man was attacked and robbed in the Bronx, as reported by the NYPD.
The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. near East 167 Street and Teller Avenue.
Police stated that an unidentified man approached the 58-year-old victim from behind and hit him on the side of the head, causing him to fall.
According to the source, the suspect then stole the victim’s cellphone and wallet before fleeing the scene, according to the NYPD.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Police have released a surveillance image of the suspect to help with the investigation.
