If you’ve ever thought about bringing a dog into your life but needed a sign, here it is. On Wednesday, July 24, New York City is celebrating “NYC Adopt-A-Dog Day,” and there’s no better time to adopt.
For this special day, Royal Canin will cover all dog adoption fees from Animal Care Centers (ACC) across the city.
ACC, a non-profit organization dedicated to ending animal homelessness in NYC, has teamed up with Royal Canin, a leader in animal nutrition.

Don Macintosh, Vice President of Royal Canin’s Professional Division, shared his excitement about the partnership.
“We believe every pet should have access to tailored nutrition, and we’re proud to support ACC’s mission by providing both funding and food,” he said.
Each year, about 6.3 million animals enter shelters across the U.S. In 2023, ACC housed over 15,000 animals and had a 91% success rate in finding them new homes.
Royal Canin’s support is a significant boost, covering all adoption fees and providing a free one-month supply of food and nutritional info for each adopted dog.
