ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque man, Manuel Romero, is now behind bars.
Just two days after the police announced their focus on the deadly mix of alcohol and guns, Romero was caught in a troubling situation.
According to the Albuquerque Police Department, Romero was spotted in a vehicle with a black handgun between his thighs.
The incident took place near Gold Avenue and Second Street early in the morning.
According to the source, the police believed he and others were loitering in the area.
When approached by the police, Romero admitted he had been drinking.

As a result, he was arrested and is now facing a charge of negligent use of a firearm.
