Shocking Incident: East Austin Suspect Shot After Attempting Police Car Theft

AUSTIN, Texas — A Pflugerville police officer shot a suspect in East Austin on Wednesday night. The incident unfolded as officers were working on a narcotics investigation from Pflugerville.

The officers were in the area near Decker Lane and Loyola Lane when they stopped a vehicle for a routine check. The suspect, however, became aggressive and tried to steal an unmarked police car.

In response, the Pflugerville officer fired their weapon at the suspect. Emergency aid was provided on the scene before the suspect was rushed to Dell Seton Medical Center.
