A Florida couple’s dream came true when they won a $1 million lottery prize just weeks before welcoming their baby boy.
Victoria Oakley and John Stanhill, thrilled by their incredible luck, shared their joy with the Florida Lottery. “Our lottery win has been such a huge relief for us,” the couple said.
“We’ve been able to fully focus on being new parents by putting our financial worries at ease.” as covered by Aol
The jackpot win came after Stanhill stopped at Duval Exxon in Jacksonville Beach and spent $50 on a scratch-off ticket. To his astonishment, the ticket was worth $1 million, a fact confirmed by lottery officials in a June 11 news release.

Oakley echoed the sentiment, saying, “We won the lottery — and then we won the lottery again with our beautiful, healthy baby boy. All in three weeks’ time!”
Stanhill opted for a lump-sum payment of $640,000, and the couple has already put some of the money toward their child’s education.
“We were able to start a college fund for our baby and plan on paying off student loans,” they said. “We are over the moon with everything that’s happened!
