California Women Set High Dating Bar: Survey Reveals Top Standards in the U.S.

A recent survey from DatingNews.com highlights that California women have some of the highest dating standards in the country.

According to the study, today’s dating scene expects men to come with the “trifecta”: being 6 feet tall, having six-pack abs, and earning six figures.

The survey, which included 3,000 single women, shows that those in California are particularly selective. About 37% of California women prefer partners who not only have substantial incomes but also possess model-like looks.

This trend reflects broader concerns about dwindling populations and the economic implications of these high standards.

In comparison, women in New York, known for its financial industry, have even higher expectations.

According to the source, a striking 41% of women in New York said they would only date men with impressive incomes and attractive appearances.

Conversely, in Alaska, only 5% of women set such high standards, indicating a more relaxed approach to dating.

Despite these high standards in places like California and New York, most women across the country have more reasonable expectations.

For instance, 86% of women are open to dating a man who rents rather than owns a home. However, this might be influenced by the high rental costs in cities like New York, which often require a significant income.

When it comes to vehicle ownership, 59% of women are willing to date someone who doesn’t own a car.

The least appealing scenario is dating someone living with their parents, with 64% of women ruling it out due to privacy concerns.

On a brighter note, the survey reveals that 80% of women are open to dating a man without a college degree.

Additionally, 85% would consider someone in a non-traditional job, such as an artist or gig economy worker.

Cultural experiences also seem less critical, with 85% of women not minding if their partner has never traveled beyond their home state.

When asked to rank the most attractive attributes in a man, California women prioritized a great personality above all else.
