The Houston Police Department (HPD) is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Saturday night, June 29th, 2024, at an apartment complex located on Greens Road.
The incident resulted in the death of a yet-to-be-identified 28-year-old male and a manhunt for the suspected shooter.
According to the official source of the news fox26houston preliminary investigations, the victim received a phone call shortly before the incident. Believed to be connected to a pre-existing dispute, the call lured the victim outside his apartment.
Upon exiting, the victim was tragically shot multiple times by the caller and pronounced dead at the scene by responding Houston Fire Department paramedics.
HPD investigators, through witness statements and a thorough investigation, have identified James “Jay Foe” Harris, 30, as the suspect.
The Harris County District Attorney’s Office has subsequently charged Harris with murder. However, authorities have not yet apprehended him.
In an effort to locate the suspect and bring him to justice, the HPD is urging the public for any information regarding James Harris’ whereabouts or details surrounding the shooting.
