QUEENS, NY – An Ecuadorian migrant has been arrested for the sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl in Kissena Park, Queens. Christian Geovanny Inga-Landi, 25, was taken into custody on Tuesday, five days after the attack.
Inga-Landi allegedly threatened the young girl and a 13-year-old boy with a machete-style blade, forcing them into a secluded area of the park. He tied their wrists with shoelaces before sexually assaulting the girl and taking their phones, instructing them to stay put for 20 minutes before fleeing. As per to the sources nypost
The teens ran to a nearby school, where staff called 911, sparking a manhunt. Inga-Landi had previously crossed the US-Mexico border in 2021 with his son and was released with a Notice to Appear in immigration court.
The horrific incident occurred on June 13 when Inga-Landi allegedly approached the 13-year-old girl and a boy of the same age, threatening them with a machete-style blade.
He forced them into a secluded area of the park, tied their wrists with shoelaces, and sexually assaulted the girl. After the assault, he took their phones and warned them to stay put before fleeing.
The teens managed to escape to a nearby school, where staff called 911, leading to a manhunt that culminated in Inga-Landi’s arrest.

Inga-Landi, who had been ordered to leave the US in 2022, approached the girl and a 13-year-old boy with a machete-style blade, forcing them into a secluded area.
After tying their wrists with shoelaces, he allegedly assaulted the girl, stole their phones, and instructed them to remain in place for 20 minutes before fleeing.

The Department of Homeland Security confirmed that Inga-Landi had been deemed inadmissible due to lack of proper documentation but was released for humanitarian reasons.
