GALVESTON COUNTY, Texas – A man is facing charges in Galveston County after a roofing fraud investigation, according to officials. Michael Kennedy, 41, of Dickinson, has been charged with felony criminal mischief.
According to the source, Kennedy, an employee with Coast Guard Roofing, is accused of intentionally damaging a victim’s roof.
The alleged damage was meant to falsely claim it was caused by a storm, allowing for a fraudulent insurance claim to be filed.
During the investigation, authorities discovered that the damage involved manual mechanical manipulation of the roof.
