Houston’s love for Nashville-style hot chicken continues to soar as southern California’s popular chain, Angry Chickz, prepares to open its first Texas location.
The new spot will be in Webster, near the Johnson Space Center, at 18207 Egret Bay Blvd. Although the exact opening date remains a mystery, excitement is already building.
Angry Chickz is renowned for its signature hot chicken sandwiches and a range of hot sauces, from the mild “Country” to the fiery “Angry” sauce, which is so intense it requires diners to sign a waiver.
The sauce is crafted with Carolina Reaper and ghost pepper, two of the hottest peppers in the world.
For those seeking a milder experience, the menu also features classics like chicken tenders and mac and cheese. As per by the souces X (formerly known as twitter)
The Houston franchise is brought by Jim Wang, a seasoned restaurateur known for introducing the city to Jinya Ramen and Paris Baguette.
Wang discovered Angry Chickz in Aliso Viejo, California, and was impressed by the brand’s quality and potential. “This brand has so much talent and the food is simply exceptional,” Wang said.
Founded in 2018 by David Mkhitaryan, Angry Chickz quickly gained a following with its first location in East Hollywood.
