True crime enthusiasts believe a supposed serial killer, dubbed “the Rainey Street Ripper,” stalks victims and disposes of them into Lady Bird Lake.
Over the past two years, several bodies have been found in Lady Bird Lake. Despite denials from locals, true crime fans still flock to Rainey Street.
What’s Going on at Lady Bird Lake?
From July 2022 to early 2024, at least twelve bodies have been pulled from Lady Bird Lake. This sparked public concern and rumors of a serial killer.
According to the source, most deaths are attributed to accidental drownings involving alcohol and poor lighting.
Only Josue Moreno’s case was confirmed as a homicide, quickly solved with an arrest.
Authorities maintain there is no serial killer at large.
