BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Two men are facing charges in connection with the tragic shooting deaths of four people in Mojave. These charges stem from incidents that occurred between March and May of last year.

Ricardo Reyes-Partida is charged with four counts of first-degree murder, along with several other offenses.

Jonathan Steven Hernandez faces charges including accessory after the fact and attempted murder, according to a release from the District Attorney’s Office.

Reyes-Partida, 34, pleaded not guilty on July 31. He is currently being held without bail and will return to court later this month.

Hernandez, however, has a warrant out for his arrest. Anyone with information about his whereabouts should contact the DA’s Office at 661-868-2340.

The incident began on April 30, 2023, around 11:20 p.m. Deputies responded to reports of a shooting on H Street in Mojave.

They found three people dead at the scene, and a fourth victim passed away hours later at Antelope Valley Hospital.

A probable cause declaration filed in Superior Court reveals that Partida-Reyes had an argument with two of the victims earlier in the day.

According to the source, he was seen with a firearm at the crime scene before the murders and was observed fleeing the area afterward.

Additionally, it is alleged that Partida-Reyes shot another person earlier on the day of the homicides.

This person survived, and a shell casing from that shooting was matched with casings found at the quadruple homicide scene, indicating the same weapon was used.
