Shock at Burger King: New York Mom Finds Blood in Daughter’s Meal

A Burger King near Buffalo, New York, was temporarily shut down last weekend after a shocking incident involving a customer’s meal.

Tiffany Floyd, a local resident, took to TikTok to share her distressing experience after discovering blood in her daughter’s food order.

On July 26, Floyd posted a video detailing what happened when she bought a kid’s meal for her four-year-old daughter, Matayla, at a Burger King in Getzville, New York.

Floyd, who was busy, handed the meal to her daughter without checking it. As they drove away, Matayla complained about ketchup, prompting Floyd to check the bag.

To her horror, Floyd found blood smeared on the burger, fries, and toys in the bag. She immediately called the Burger King location to inquire about the issue.

The manager informed her that a worker had injured his finger just before preparing their order and offered a refund if she returned.

Unsettled, Floyd decided to report the incident to her local health department.

She emphasized the seriousness of the issue in her video, which has since gone viral with over 8 million views, 1 million likes, and more than 12,000 comments from sympathetic viewers.

“It was emotionally disturbing, and I couldn’t believe it,” Floyd told TODAY.com.

She described how she reacted by telling her daughter to spit out the food, and how the manager’s nonchalant attitude intensified her frustration.

Burger King has since addressed the situation, expressing deep concern. A representative explained that the incident was caused by a team member who injured his finger and immediately stepped away.

The restaurant was closed over the weekend for retraining and deep cleaning, with all employees paid for lost shifts.

According to the source, the location reopened on July 29.

Floyd, whose daughter has been unable to eat properly since the incident, is seeking further medical care, including blood tests and psychiatric evaluation.

She has also decided to consult a lawyer, demanding accountability and adherence to proper food safety protocols.

“I don’t care if it’s a drop of blood or more. There’s a protocol, and someone has to be held accountable,” Floyd said in a follow-up video posted on July 28.
