ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Police Department (APD) recently apprehended a man for shoplifting, who turned out to be a murder suspect.
On Monday, officers arrested 26-year-old Jamil Lewis at a Walmart located in Wyoming near Menaul.
According to the source, Lewis was found armed with a handgun at the time of the arrest.

The police believe Lewis is connected to the fatal shooting of one of two brothers, which occurred in June near Cochiti and Inaidna.
Investigators revealed that the incident arose from a dispute over a debt.
