A 10-year-old boy ended up in the hospital on Tuesday night after a teenager attacked him with a butter knife on a Manhattan street.
This incident happened around 6:40 p.m. at the corner of West 33rd Street and Sixth Avenue, according to police and sources.
According to the source, the victim, a 10-year-old boy, got into a fight with a 15-year-old boy.
During the altercation, the older teen allegedly used a butter knife to repeatedly slash the younger boy all over his body, law enforcement sources said.
The young boy suffered knife wounds to his stomach and was quickly taken to Bellevue Hospital.

Fortunately, he’s now in stable condition, as confirmed by the police.
The NYPD has taken a person of interest into custody in connection with the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
