Steely Dan’s Request to RNC Band: Play Anti-Trump Song ‘Tin Foil Hat’!

Steely Dan is asking the house band at the Republican National Convention (RNC) to play a rather pointed song.

After Sixwire, the RNC’s band, played Steely Dan’s hit “Reelin’ In the Years,” Steely Dan’s official Facebook page suggested a different track: the anti-Trump ballad “Tin Foil Hat.”

“Tin Foil Hat” isn’t a Steely Dan song, but a Todd Rundgren track featuring Steely Dan’s Donald Fagen. The song directly targets Trump.

According to the source, Sixwire has been praised on social media for its performances throughout the RNC.
