A Texas couple has been arrested by Washington County deputies for allegedly tying their 15-year-old daughter to a tree with a ratchet strap and leaving her there for several days.

According to the source, the incident took place in Vera, where the girl was reportedly tied up for three days.

The deputies were alerted to the situation by family members concerned about the girl’s welfare.

Upon arrival, they found the teenager sitting on a carpet square, tied to a tree with a bandage over her leg.

The girl’s father, Johnny James, told the deputies that he tied his daughter up because she had a tendency to lie and struggled with controlling her bowel movements.
