In response to rising wildfire threats, Texas Governor Greg Abbott has announced a statewide deployment of firefighting resources.
According to the source, this decision comes as the Texas A&M Forest Service warns of increased wildfire activity due to dry conditions and high temperatures.
The A&M Forest Service has upgraded the Wildland Preparedness Level to Level 2, indicating a higher risk of wildfires in northern and western Texas.
Governor Abbott stated, “Texas stands ready to support local officials and communities throughout our great state as the threat of wildfire activity increases in the coming days.”
To address this, Texas is deploying over 200 personnel, including firefighters and support staff.

The deployment also includes essential tactical resources such as fire engines, all-terrain vehicles, and bulldozers to provide on-the-ground assistance.
In the past week alone, more than 35 wildfires have burned over 3,000 acres across the state. The press release advises Texans to minimize activities that could spark fires and to adhere to local officials’ guidance.
