TikTok Star’s Viral Act Saves Over 700 Cats in Texas

If you’re a fan of TikTok or YouTube, you might have stumbled upon videos from Spencer of SB Mowing. These clips typically feature Spencer and his team finding overgrown lawns and transforming them for free.

It’s a treat for anyone who loves good lawn care or kind-hearted gestures.

But what do mowing lawns and rescuing cats have in common?

SB Mowing is based in Kansas, but Spencer travels to South Texas during the winter. This past February, according to MySanAntonio.com, Spencer decided to mow a lawn for free in Corpus Christi.

While tidying up the property, he stumbled upon an injured cat hiding in the tall weeds. The cat had multiple wounds and an infected abscess.

Spencer tried reaching out to various places for help, but only one organization, Edgar and Ivy’s Pet Sanctuary accepted the injured cat.

He also donated $100 to the sanctuary and started a GoFundMe page to help them, as they were running low on funds. As with many things SB Mowing shares with their 10 million TikTok followers, the story went viral.

According to the source, the unexpected rescue mission turned into a huge success. According to MySanAntonio.com, the GoFundMe raised over $190,000.

Additionally, they received four truckloads of items from their Amazon Wishlist.
