ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Police Department (APD) is investigating a heartbreaking incident involving the death of an eight-year-old boy.
According to family members, the boy became trapped under a car while someone was changing a tire at a gas station in northwest Albuquerque, shortly after midnight.
A gas station employee and nearby drivers quickly jumped into action, trying to assist the boy.
According to the source, a group of good Samaritans managed to lift the vehicle off him.
Despite their efforts, the boy was taken to the hospital, where he sadly succumbed to his injuries.

APD’s Crimes Against Children Unit is currently investigating the tragic death. At this time, no charges have been filed.
